Meet Our New Maine South Interns!

by | Sep 28, 2023

We are happy to have 2 interns, Caitlin and Ava, working with us this school year from Maine South High School!

Caitlin is a Maine South junior interning at the Amina Grace Memorial Fund for the 2023-2024 school year. Last year, she helped create the marketing plan that the Amina Grace Memorial Fund chose to use from Ms. Terpstra’s Marketing class at Maine South. Passionate about the organization’s cause and planning to pursue a career in business, Caitlin will be assisting marketing efforts, raising awareness for the organization among high schoolers, and learning about the financial processes of non-profits. In her free time, she is an editor for the school newspaper, competes in a business program called DECA, is a Youth Ambassador for a non-profit called JDRF, and plays golf at Maine South.

Ava tells us a little bit about herself:

“I am constantly looking to better myself, and the world, and interning at the Amina Grace Memorial Fund provides opportunities to accomplish both. Freshman year, I joined Hawk Pals, Maine South’s inclusion club. Since then, I have grown my involvement in the differing abilities community. I am now a Hawk Pals officer and a board member for the Youth Activation Committee through Special Olympics. This internship will provide opportunities and connections that aren’t offered through any other program. Outside of school, I enjoy playing golf and soccer with friends.”

We are thrilled to have them join us this year! And look forward to a wonderful year working side by side!
