Amina Grace

Our beautiful Amina Grace was born in 2009 with Down syndrome. She was a delightful child who laughed easily and enjoyed life’s little moments. Amina worked hard to do basic tasks that many of us take for granted like eating, walking and talking. But despite things being hard she took on new challenges with gusto – Amina swung from the bars at gymnastics, learned to ride a bike, loved to swim and danced with the best of them. Amina filled our lives with joy.

Our Partners

To carry on our mission, we started the Amina Grace Speech and Language Program at GiGi’s Playhouse and the Amina Grace Gardens Program at Misericordia. We also support the Congratulations Basket Program through the National Association for Down Syndrome (NADS) and Gerry’s Cafe.  All of these programs are providing much needed training, therapy and opportunties that will help people with Down syndrome and other differing abilities become valued members of their communities.
